Running in CP at night

It seems like I’m getting home from work later and later, and then getting out the door for a run.  Last night I ran 3.5 miles and ended at 8:55 pm — by the time it gets to 9 pm in the park, I pass maybe a dozen runners per lap on the lower loop.  The cars stop entering at 7, the dogs and their owners are hidden by the shadows, and there are few tourists looking for a moonlight carriage or pedicab ride on a Tuesday night in March.  And with Wollman Rink and its pulsating pop-dance soundtrack closed for the season, it’s amazing how quiet it can be.  It’s a different city.  It’s not a city at all.
